Default Conversation with Tammy

Tammy called on her own, which is most unusual. Of course I am always delighted to chat with and felt the call was a rare honor. She volunteered why she left her group. There was still some blame on outside persecution, but I also heard a genuine non cult side of her. The "Community" had worked with the anti-cult movement to clear the wreckage of their past. There was a undeniable period of glasnot. She appreciated the official apology, but found the timbre of her relationship with the church had changed. She was still a little guarded as to why she left. I assured her she could only share what she was comfortable with disclosing.

The sad thing is that she has been isolating since her departure in 1993 and has had difficulty establishing relationships since then.

I have no agenda one way or the other. I am glad that I was here for her and that she could begin to open up on her own volition. I have fought for Tammy on my knees crying out to the Lord for years. I am choked up at the answered prayer.

Keep Tammy in prayer. She has a long way to go, but I proud she had the courage to come forward and what was on her mind.
