Default President Ford's funeral

I have just finished watching Pres. Ford's funeral at the National Cathedral.

For whatever one thought of the man and some of his decisions while in the office, I'm left with these thoughts:

I thank the Lord for this country, for the freedom to have a Christ-honoring, state funeral for a Christian leader of this country. I also thank the Father of Glory for those believers and non-believers among our leaders and our media who know character when they see it, who honor integrity by publicly vocalizing their recognition of it, and who love the founding principles of that "shining city on a hill" that is the United States of America. I thank Him for providing us, and the world, with a place where freedom of speech and religion still reigns.

How blessed we are!

Okay, I'm a softie... Wife of a 'Nam vet, as I've stated here before...

God bless the U.S.A. - and may He yet save anyone/everyone who was there at that funeral who does not yet know the Lord Jesus Christ.

("Eternal Father, Strong to Save" - the Navy hymn - that was played for Pres. Ford this morning, gets me every time... And now he comes back here, to MI, for his interment at the place he always considered "home.")
