This may be of interest to some here...
The Orange Ribbon Project was started in 2004 to raise awareness of self-injury. The goal is to use orange awareness ribbons, and different types of bracelets, in order to make people all over the world aware of what self-injury is, and to support those who self-injure.
The orange ribbons and bracelets are entirely free, although donations are welcome. Each ribbon is attached to a business card. The ribbons can be worn on clothing, coats, or put on backpacks and purses. When someone asks what the ribbon is for, there is a chance to explain what self-injury is. With awareness of self-injury will come an understanding, and with an understanding, the issue can begin to be resolved.
