Narcissistic Pastors

Maybe some of you are familiar with this:

It's long but worthwhile. My former "pastor" has obvious "narcissistic personality disorder" traits and it sounds as though many of yours do, too. Sam Vaknin has posted a lot on the Internet about this.

My father was a flaming, four-alarm narcissist and I think that's what drew me to this nutjob that used to be my "pastor."

(It occurs to me that if there are any snooping PiPs reading this particular thread, they certainly won't see themselves here. They're too perfect to have something like NPD!)

Interesting topic!
I've also read that in addition to NPD, narcissim can be present simply as a personality trait. Some scientist developed a genetic model for the inheritance of the genetic component of certain personality traits, like narcissism, perfectionism, and aggression. (I think a google search for "NPA type" will get you there.) I thought it was interesting that these things can be present or absent, or present at normal and pathological levels. I like the author you brought up.
