Default Christmas in America

Merry Christmas,

The "Day" has come and gone. It was like being in a time warp going to church. Singing and speaking in English... was so wierd. The morning service was refreshing and the people friendly without being overly so. Our children's friends, who we know, were fun to see. The pastor commented to one of those men that he was wondering who the couple (us) were because we were really "with him" while he was preaching.

We all decided this was to be a NO FRILLS Christmas with food and gatherings being simple. When one family has a new baby and the other due in 6 weeks we decided to be realistic. It was wonderful and a good idea.

We are presently spending a week at our son and daughter-in-law's. I am getting as much baby time as I desire. Beth is pumping milk so I can experience feeding him. She is so caring and loving. Here's a good one - right now there is a little boy next to me on the floor with a dump truck that is playing the William Tell Overture with a voice singing - To the dump, to the dump, to the dump dump dump ect... It is hilarious! The it says, "I love the smell of trash" - "Ooh wee This stinks!

Please keep Steinar in your prayers. It is beginning to look llike his cold is actually the flu or may be turning into bronchitis.

Love
Anna Marta

Anna, I was thinking about you yesterday.
I am glad you had a good day.
Ahh your so lucky to have a baby to hold.
I am glad you are having some good grama time. You daughter in-law is a sweetie for allowing you to fed the baby ect. There are some mean woman who would not share. You are blessed.

Hi All

Thank you SO much for the prayer! Steinar is still coughing but I think he is improving. He was able to play the guitar for the children's party last night. Little Daniel has decided his Grampy is THE BEST they have been velcroed together. Only problem - it makes no sense that Grampy doesn't want company while he's doing 'his thing' in the bathroom. (I could give him the paper... was the offer) I remninded Steinar that there is probably no one else in this world who would be willing to stand there and chat and then give him the paper.

After a rough start this is turning out to be a nice holiday with lots of good memories. Steinar has been able to "save the day" for some with his computer skills.

Hey Mags - going to the Lyndon Diner for dinner tonight!!! Are you jealous?

Hugs
Anna Marta
