Sociological journal articles on spiritual abuse

I'm on the road to do some serious graduate school study of spiritual abuse.

I have been hunting for sociological journal articles and have found some stuff by Janet Jacobs and Ron Enroth, but not much else.

There's either a lot that could be researched or a surprising lack of interest.

I'm 53 years old and I'm also a brand new graduate student. I'm not sure where this will take me but I would feel great satisfaction in throwing some light on spiritual abuse.

Do any of you found any articles on spiritual abuse published in journals like the American Sociological Review or the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion? :confused:

I haven't found a whole lot other than reading here. religious abuse seems to fall under the same umbrella as spiritual abuse.... googled and came up with this:

I'm finding that there are some books written but they are not scientific. They are of the tone of descibing and decrying the problem but there are few references to any real studies.

You may do well to do a parallel study in techniques of "Mind Control" ....Most Messianic Cults employ these methods ;)

I am Silvia I have Many experiences about oppresive pastors mainly because some of them belong to G12 religion and religion Also is one thing and other thing is a relationship with Jesuschrist the good Pastor Ezequiel 34 describes those wolves in sheeps clothes read chapter 34 of the book of Ezequiel.
