Sunday early morning Alpha Grammy is off again, this time to the states to be with the children and grandchildren for 6 weeks. :D
Leaving my best buddy for 6 weeks is always so hard, yet the anticipation of the joy on the other side of the ocean is so exciting. Life's dichotomies.
Have had phone calls nearly everyday from the other side with plans on what is to come. If we actually accomplish everything they would like to do with Grammy-grams then Grampy-grams will be picking her up in a box in 6 weeks.
My usual logistical problem is how to get home again everything I have already bought and had delivered to my daughter's. After lifting one box (containing an order of quilting fabrics), my SIL burst out laughing and proclaimed that I was already over the weight limit. Fine! I went to the NWA web site and found out I can take an extra suitcase home for a mere $150 and still have saved oodles of money!
I have been working on building a wardrobe on each continent so I don't have to haul so many clothes. Summer is nearly complete. So I can now work on winter clothes to be left behind. That should be easy as I have so many sweaters and jeans that I never get to wear anyway, I'll just leave them there. Problem of overweight luggage on the trip home - SOLVED!:cool::cool::cool:
Now my dear SIL can stop laughing at his "smarter than average" MIL. As you can see, he and I do have a great time together.
