I admit this has nothing to do with SA, but...............
I just discovered that I may be able to fulfill a life long desire- to drive a race car. :D:cool::eek:
One of my daughter's friends is married to fellow who works at a race track and she is willing to set me up with a spin around in a race car! Says to let them know when I am in the states and they can set it up.
I thought driving at 160 km/hr in the middle of the night in Denmark would be the best I ever got close to driving at this kind of speed.
Oh wow, I am so excited!

I am one who loves to fly and especially the take off and landing. I like the feeling of power and strength when you are pushed back in you seat and when you feel those brakes be applied.
I look forward to realizing the rest of my (bucket) list: piggyback parachute jump, hot air balloon ride, going in a bobsled and dancing at my grandchildren's wedding.
After reaching 60 (a few years ago) I threw off the yoke of social correctness and espoused what the poem "When I am Old I shall Wear Purple" describes.

Who's going to jump? I figure if I hang on tight he'll do the jumping and I'll do the screaming. It's not the jump that bothers me, it's the landing... but again, if I hang on he is supposed to do the work. Right????

Hi AM,
I like the feeling of power and strength when you are pushed back in you seat....
Sounds like you would make a good Biker Chik. My GS1000 Suzuki would feel like that when you punched it.

OMG! You used what my kids referred to as - the "M" word (motorcycle) because their mother was so vehemently against them!
Not me, there is absolutely no way I am getting on one of those things. I worked in the ER at one time and those things are a death wish on wheels. I cannot understand how the car makers insist on air bags and roll bars and you all get on a bike completely unprotected and zoom and weave through traffic. It gives me the shivers to think about it.
So, how's that for irony? She'll jump out of a plane, but not get on the cycle.
Goofy, I guess.
