Ten points. I got the point. I know it is satire, but boy did I ever dive for cover. Cannot you say humility? Good share, painful as it was. Next latte on me as soon as I collect my composure.:p

It was not your fault. The videographer did a great job of explaining the pratfall. Don't worry, next latte on me :)

What is most hilarious: while the Pastor is trying to be superman he is pushing you aside and then he will make you feel guilty because you didn't help him.

Those who have experienced this may not even think this is funny. Sorry for awaking painful memories :)

You're the man analyzer! The 'catch 22' and the circular reasoning as to why it's never the pastor's fault. If you bring up the concern that the pastor is doing too much (which I like to call a 'ball hog') you are accused of attacking 'THE' pastor.
If you 'sit' like a good doggy and shut up and just watch the fireworks, you are accused of being a 'church spectator', equivalent to those of the Laodecian church.

By contrast, this is why I find the church attend refresghing in that respect. When the pastor mentions from the pulpit that he brused off a member, the elders confront him, he apologizes, then mentions the incident unedited for all to hear on the radio and the internet, that is humility.

Wow, that is really nice to hear. That to me is more what leadership is about....being an example.

"....consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith." (Heb. 13:7)

I think the senior pastor leads by example. I have a feeling we are inspired towards humility and seeking the Lord's will.

"Pastor" seems to me instead of being a job, a position, a calling or a career - more of a covert trap that swings shut after capturing someone.

I don't think anyone initially goes that educational route because they think it will bring fame, money and power, however... :o

Isn't it the truth though? As soon that we have an organization it becomes an "it" and needs to be protected. Who cares if people get hurt just as long as we stick to our relgious obligations and protect the institution!
I kind of saw myself in that you-tube video: Years ago, the people-pleaser girl who did everything in church, five nights a week almost, and never got tired, becuase after all: I did it for the Lord!:D What a lie. It was all about me, so that I would feel better, so that I could say what a great Christian I was.
Oh boy, those were the times.....
