Sheep Without Shepherds

Some of the threads lately have gotten me to thinking about an issue I am dealing with and I am not sure has ever been addressed here that I recall.

I can only speak for myself here but I do ask the question out loud:

No, perhaps, I or we should make it a prayer:

Lord, I dont want the fact that I have experienced spirutual abuse and now find I have no earthly shepherd to ensare me into sinning against You. Please protect me from myself that I dont compromise Your Word because of my pain and anger at men. Help me to avoid reacting to what has happened to me by compromising myself in what I might say or do because I have made their abuse of me an excuse to sin. Lord, You are my Faithful Shepherd: Govern me, Guide me, Guard me. In every situation I face; show me my heart the way You see it that I might not sin again You, because, Jesus, You are still Lord. Amen

Bless you, Jerry and Timid... this was really "putting it out there" for me...I so apppreciate your kind response. Sometimes, I feel like a sheep that has been driven out and away and that I am "devil meat" waiting to be devoured because I have no covering... then at times of great anxiety, I have heard the Holy Spirit whisper to me, "I am ALways your covering." Ah... I think... yes... the Great I AM... like the cloud over the tabernacle...we are His temple!:) What a Comforter He is!:):)
