I happened to be the kid who said the darndest thing. I was in a private remmedial school. We had an Episcopal priest guest teach a class in 1972. One day he was teaching, "you know that God can speak to us personally... What language does he speak to us?"
This wise cracking adolescent snapped back, "Up until the 1965 Vatican Council, Latin"
