Ignorance,,,,,,pure and simple,,,,not ignorance by choice on the part of the individual. This is enforced ignorance by those with knowledge,,,,or enforced ignorance by poorly trained teachers.
The beginning twist????? How many of you have seen a preacher hold up a "King James"Bible and declare,,,,,,,"This is the inerrant word of God"????....Well sorry to burst their bubble,,,,,but it is not!!!!!....The inerrant word of God is written in Hebrew ,Caldee,Greek, with a little Aramaic sprinkeled in.....What the "King James",,,or any other "English" Bible is for that matter,,,,,is a translation of early manuscripts,,,that contain the "Inerrant Word".There are many translations in "English",and the degrees of accuracy vary. The "King James"is a good translation,,,,but it is not without syntactical problems.I find that the King James,is best for study simply because Dr.Strong used the King James,as the "Key" to his Exaustive Concordance which is far and away, the best work of it's type in existance.
Heres a Translational problem that is one of the easier ones to discuss on this board.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,In English the word "anti" generally means,,,against,,or in oppisition too.............But in "Greek",the word "anti"means ,,,,"Instead of",,,,or,,,"Disguised as"....Does that not put a whole different "spin" on the outward charactor in Pauls discussion of the "AntiChrist"?????
So remember two things when studying your "English" Bible,,,,,,,1.Your "English Bible"is only a window to "Gods Word",,,,,2.The "Window"is not the view,,,,,,,,the "Window"allows the view :D
Love you all,,,,Jerry
Oh!!!! P.S. So from where will the "AntiChrist"emerge ?????,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,The "Pulpit" of course :D

Very good points, Jerry. Thanks for the post! The only thing I would add that there are also those within the congregation, vying for power and prestige and so will go along with the nonsense in *full awareness* of what they are doing wrong ... because "something's in it for them".
