We made it!

We left home at 4:30AM on Tuesday and arrived here at 4AM (our time) so we drug our bodies into our children's home after having been up and on the go for 26+ hours!

The trip was uneventful but grueling. Steinar got his first ride in wheelchairs and hopes never to have to repeat the experience. I got to do all the suitcase lugging and hauling, which is normally his job. The kids were so proud of me because I have historically been the one who ended up in a wheelchair by the end of the trip and this time I was "Super Woman!"

I can say that each of the airports provided fine and respectful service.

Thanks everyone! Steinar finished the antibiotic finally just before we left and I think we can see his immune system relaxing now that the fight at the cellular level is resolving.

We had 2 suitcases filled with gifts and our daughter was right, our bedroom was filled floor to ceiling on one wall with the gifts I had ordered on the Internet (toys and clothes). This is the first year we could afford to spend "money" because Steinar has been employed for the entire you. (First time in 5 years)

The fleece blanket with pic of Santa on it that we brought for the autistic grandson as a travel (bribe) gift was a HUGE SUCCESS!!! As soon as he saw it in the suitcase he yelled, "That's mine!" He has been wrapped in it ever since. :D:D:D

Steinar did not grow up in America, being Norwegian, so when someone lost their matchbox (meaning car) he ran to ask the daddy if the kids were in danger of starting a fire! We howled. Just when we think he is aculturized we discover there are still things to learn.

I can hardly wait for Santa to come. I bought Steinar a set of remote control battling helicopters for he and Roy (SIL) to play with.

Anna Marta, glad Steinar is doing better even if he is worried about fire. That was funny! I already knew you were Superwoman. Hope you have a great time with your family.

The rainy city of Seattle is snowed in. We have maybe 12 inches at our house but I couldn't stand it anymore and made it to work. We aren't prepared for this white crap and the city has mostly come to a standstill. My boss and his wife don't get along very well so he comes to work even if he's dying but today he's home. That's how bad it is!

Have fun in PA and tell us all about as you go because we love you!
