I have always prayed for this day. I never expected to happen. Tammy invited Shelly and I to her family's vacation home. I am not sure what to expect.
I do remember the family as prim and proper family complete with a no talk facade. Her father is a wise stoical gentleman. He is a delight to listen.
The split over her group affected the family as well. Any wisdom would be appreciated. I would appreciate prayers that Lord has his hand over the Sunday visit.

Weekend was beautiful. The summer house was in beach front community. The day was picture post card perfect.
To some readers up to speed. I lost a friend to a shepherding group in college over twenty years. I realized what I was in and I left. "Tammy Bentsen" and I had a serious parting of the ways, I am sure, brought on by her group. There was also considerable friction with her parents. This was brought on by a combination of my zeal and the vitroelic verbal attack by a member of the anti cult movement. Mr Bentsen did not see a problem with Tammy's group. Looking back, I believe he made a good decision not to get involved.
Unfortunately the anti cult member did see Mr Bentsen's position and regrettably got too wrapped in his emotions and attacked Mr Bentsen. At the time, it was a particularly ugly scene.
In recent years, I updated my 12 step amends list to include Mr Bentsen. Tammy thought it would not be wise to make an amends, so I agreed to her wishes. As it turned out, it actually paid off. Both her parents were glad to see me and glad that my wife and were able to come for two grandkid's birthdays. I was invited to a picnic on at lakefront beach. The fellowship was delightful. Mr Bentsen and I were able to talk for a moment and had a nice conversation.
Curiously my wife with overcome with tears of joy at the "reunion". It was a good time had by all.

Great news! You waited a long time for this prayer to be answered and it sounds like God did a fine job. (He is so good at that :))
