Hey Janice... I was thinking about you this morning and the grace God's given you in dealing with your health problems. I remember how painful it was to you that your church excluded you from membership because you smoke... and how unfair that seemed and how it hurt you. I was wondering... in light of your recent struggles... how is the original situation going? Is it even an issue anymore? Did your church come around and support you in your illness? Or... does it even matter to you anymore whether they "let you be a member". I was just thinking of how much I admire your courage and the change I've seen in you during your struggle with cancer. It's as though the fight with the giant has turned you into a giant larger than the one you are fighting.

Love ya Sis!

So pathetic to castigate anyone for smoking. Hey Janice do you know how many packs I used to smoke a day? Three and going on four. I think I smoked in my sleep.
Im free now but it wasnt easy it was like coming off of heroin and I mean it! Yeah the christians I was around at the beginning didnt believe I COULD be saved?
I wasnt even bad? I swear I wasnt. I just smoked. I used to help peole with that issue in church all of the time because I dealt with it so much. My own Mother always felt guilty about smoking and she only had one cigarette maybe ever other month.

Its like oh please God help me..........these idiots out there.......see I became on their 'up there' list and so I got to know the upper eshalons and believe me, they would be lucky to only have that one issue of smoking on them, they are beyond bad, some of them! A lot of them!

We left that church 2 yrs. ago when hubbys term as board member was up. We've been going to a new church for for the last couple yrs.
Funny....when we first started going there the pastor was speaking on HEALING. God knew what I needed even before I did.
They have been very supportive in my battle with prayer and love....GENUINE love! These peeps are great!

The pastor was speaking one morning about a yr. ago.....and in his sermon he said, "I know I AM going to see smokers and drinkers in heaven!"...LOL...I about fell out of my seat!!! He told of how smoking was a sin against the body not a sin against God, and that it would not keep asyone out of heaven.

(Course...I already knew that!) ;)

Now for the bad news....I didn't smoke the entire three MONTHS I was in the hospital.....but it was the FIRST thing I picked up when I got out. :
