There were supposed to be a couple of people who could not make it. That was fine. I rehearsed a meeting from beginning to end. It was just me and higher Power. God willing, it has potential. If anyone is group chat savvy, let me know.

Do you know of any existing Christian 12-step recovery chatlines already at work? I mean those that have been running for awhile and have already gathered a lot of members? Or is the one you're starting the first of its kind?

as far as cults and spiritual abuse, this may be a first.

I'm wondering why there's less takers. I think people might want to know if the site is a safe site. If they sign in, can they sign in anonymously? Will their entering the site leave behind their IP address? Not that anybody can do anything with the IP address except the law enforcers. Still, people who've been through SA actually do go through some kind of stress/doubts concerning safety issues. Also, how will you run the site? For example, the rules? Have you got some rules in mind to run them and if so what are they? In some of the online meetings I've visited, there are rules like no crosstalk while the others are sharing. The participants have to engage actively at least by welcoming and thanking those who share. They are also to be courteous toward one another--no personal attacks, no gossipping, no mentioning of the stories they've read there elsewhere, etc etc. and people can come and go as they wish. There's a lot done to make people feel completely safe to participate. If you could do a little write up of the procedures and throw in some more details, perhaps it might help more to consider? Just some suggestions. Thanks.

i would love to talk to you all and other people but i think the chats are more american time and most of you will be on when im in bed or whatever!
yeah i was extremely frightened that anyone from the old church would find me in my new place, they come into work sometimes but either dont know its me or deliberatly ignor me...im of the mind that it was the latter one of those!!! im still slightly nervous that the pastor will come after me...i constantly worry in my subconcious!
if you could have people around at the same time as us brits (dunno if its just me from brit here or not) that would be mint!!
