Another one for the customer service archives:
Shep: This Shep from Office Tran, may I speak with William Smith, please.
Cust: Yep, you're speaking to him.
Shep: I do apologize but the Acme 4500 Desk top computer which the store ordered for you is discontinued and no longer in stock.
Cust: Well, I have but one question.
Shep: Yes, Mr Smith
Cust: Will I be able to get my money back for the TV thingy that goes with the computer?
Shep: The store will take care of that for you. I do apologize that we were unable to fufill the order.
It took me a minute after I got off the phone, that the customer was referring to the monitor. I can only imagine what the cable sevice must be like in that section of Nebraska. :rolleyes:
