View Full Version : Urgent Prayer Need

I am in need of as many prayer warriors as I can on this one....when I went to check the bank balance last night I discovered a "hold" for a pending credit card charge, for about $105. I did NOT authorize any charges in this amount and my fear is that someone must've gotten my credit card (which I just had replaced recently) and made a purchase. I've been extremely careful not to post this card on the internet, I only used it at one site that I can think of. I've checked as many things as I could think of, and there is only one purchase I made on the card that hasn't been processed yet (from the one site I made the purchase at)....but it is for $82. All I can think of is that either the company who made the charge added a fee or something, or the bank has held funds against the wrong account. Either way, the bank is saying they don't know who it's from and I now need to go to the bank and deposit money to cover checks that are about to clear, including the rent (which I have never bounced yet in 18 years of living here). I may also have to cancel my card yet again (this will make the 2nd time). So this is a serious, urgent need.
Please pray with me, thanx!!

I just found out that I will not be getting my stimulus check until late June, or perhaps early July. Here's why:
I went to check and see if TaxACT took out any fees (to try and account for the $105 hold or whatever the amount is) and found this:
If you chose the option to have your TaxACT filing fees deducted from your refund, the IRS sent your income tax refund to Republic Bank. The transaction fees and TaxACT's product fees were then deducted, and they forwarded the balance of your refund to your bank account.
Because the IRS is not working through the 3rd party banks to process the Stimulus Payments, you will receive yours by paper check.
I got my Federal tax refund through TaxACT. :( Fortunately, I wasn't depending on the stimulus check to pay the rent...I'd never do that. I have funds, but am short by about $100, because of this "charge" or whatever it is. I can borrow money to cover the 2 checks outstanding, but only pray no more "charges" come thru, or that HOPEFULLY, the bank will take this one off, because I did not authorize it (although I'm sure they will say I did...I often have hassles like this with my bank).
I can handle the checks bouncing for smaller amounts and can cover those, but the RENT one is the biggest concern. I am seriously concerned about paying it, and if it should bounce, paying any fees on top of it. So your prayer support is really needed more than ever now.

I am really sorry for the many messages....well I found out what the $105 was for. I placed an order with a company and it was supposed to be for $82, but the company added $23 for some reason to their total. So now I have to call them and straighten that out.
THANK THE LORD at least now I know what the charge was for. I'm just kinda p.o.'d that they charged me more than they were supposed to. Ah well.
I will have to deposit $100 into my account now instead, because of this.
