if there is sin, and it is admitted to, but no discipline is given, i mean serious sin, theft, murder, ten commandment sin going on that everyone knows about.

if it is not dealt with but condoned by the leadership, what should one do?

going to the people is a game, they have played along in the past but then changed the story, the guy was going to stop committing adultery but instead he 'died', it was a fake death after which he'd be running off with the girlfriend. the whole thing backfired on them.

i'm planning to pack up and leave, and turn things over to a lawyer to finalize if at all possible.

I think a lawyer is much better equipped to handle legal matters like that than any church would be...

agreed. the 'dead' guy has a lot of friends though. justice will not be known this side of heaven. i'm still dealing with shock as the story unraveled, it was all very confusing when it was first going on, but so many people condoned blatant sin birthed in coveting, jealousy, hatred, revenge, greed.

Seriously people, the heart needs to be tended. Funny thing is, the person who preached that so emphatically was one of the worst offenders.
