This was lost in the original Forum. Another radio parody by the Midwest State University christian comedy team: The Elders:
Staff Announcer: You are listening to WRIP, Ripley, where you rest in peace. It is now time for congenial conversation with the Morning Talk of the Town. Our phones are now ready for our first call. Hello, you are on the air.
Incoherent Listener: Hello, am I on the air?
SA: Yes, you are on the air. What can I do for you this fine morning.
IL: It is rather dark in here.
SA: Oh, where do you live?
IL: 1601 Grandview Heights.
SA: [Smiling congenially] Oh, that is up in the Rock Hills section near the state hospital. Have not had a call there in a while.
IL: I guess.
SA: So I take it the view in Grandview Heights is not all that grand.
IL: Not really.
SA: Have you tried to draw some curtains?
IL: Curtains? What's those.
SA: You know, the clothing things that cover your windows.
IL: You mean the part that operates my computer.
SA [slowly loosing composure] No, the part has glass that lets light into your bedroom.
IL: Oh,. Windows!! Where do I get some?
SA: Offhand, I would suggest a good carpenter and glazier to come in and knock some holes in walls to put in some windows.
IL: Would not be a little messy
SA: What for the price of light, sir. Thank you for calling. A reminder
that Talk of the Town is brought to you by your local friendly neighborhood Miltowne Pharmacy....
