Higher Power and cel phones

Now I know why our church in Texas had admonitions for silencing cel phones. An attender at AA Meeting rush in last night, forgetting to turn his cel phone off. One can only imagine the hilarity when the member's ring tone was the Hallelujah chorus from Handel's Messiah. Of course, it had to go off during the reading of Step 12 "Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these steps". For our next non sequitur......

I like that. One Wednesday night at a church I used to go to, the pastor had forgotten to take his cell phone out of his jacket pocket. It was winter, and he decided to wear his jacket while preaching. Of course the cell phone rang right in the middle of his sermon. :o :p :D

Actually the bible school in New England had the longest laugh in history Labor Day 1984. It happened during a wedding of two students. No sooner than the two exchanged vows, did the chimes from the main church peal out the Noontime offering of "I Need Thee Every Hour". It took a few minutes to restore order.
