Thought of the Moment

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My load is light
(Matt. 11:28)

Isaiah 40:

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Wow, oh wow! Some things happened yesterday that triggered me (will share more on that later, when I am able.) I read through this whole thread, including the verses that were posted previously, and they were just what I needed to hear. I feel something so beautiful deep inside me, I could just cry! :D

Know that the LORD, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;[a]
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Psalms 100:3

Thank you Lord, because we are yours and we are sheep of Your pasture. You made us, and not ourselves. Please, help us to Know you more, because your are our Lord, our Saviour and our friend. Amen

Dear Lord Thankyou. We need to see Your hand holding my hand and I will not be afraid. Your are the Lord, our Saviour, our redeemer. Help me to see your glory. I need to feel Your Hand on my hand and guide me Lord on yours ways. We love you and we wait in you. Blees everyone who read this verse and let them feel Your Presence. Amen

"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find
refuge." (Psalm 91:4)

Dear Lord, let me stay under your wings. Only there I feel safe, with you my Heavenly Father. Your are my refuge and my Saviour.

At times, life can throw so many obstacles our way that we're tempted to throw in the towel. Is that how you feel today? When you hear Beth Anne's story, you'll be inspired to never give up.
Runner Beth Anne DeCianti ran in a marathon in order to qualify for the '92 Olympic Trials. To make the cut, she had to complete the 26-mile, 385-yard run in less than two hours and forty-five minutes.

But at mile 23, Beth Anne started having trouble. As she reached the final straightaway, she had just two minutes left to qualify. Then she stumbled, and fell! The crowd yelled, "Get up! Get up!"

Less than a minute remained. Beth Anne staggered back to her feet and started walking — and fell once more. Then she began to crawl. The crowd cheered her on as she crossed the finish line on her hands and knees. With three seconds to spare, Beth Anne DeCianti qualified for the Olympic Trials — all because she refused to give up.

The crowd yelled, "Get up! Get up!"
Has your life lately been like Beth Anne's grueling run?

Do disappointments and discouragement keep knocking you down?

I want to encourage you in the Lord to never, ever give up. Let these words from Hebrews 12 keep you on your feet:

Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed . . . When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again . . . That will shoot adrenaline into your souls! (Hebrews 12:2-3 The Message)

Nothing Will Ever Separate You From His Love - Romans 8:38

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord".

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Galatians 5:1

Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."

Psalm 126:2, New International Version

So many of us are so richly blessed -- if not by physical and financial blessings, then most definitely by God's gracious spiritual blessings. The Lord has done great things for us! Let's praise him with songs of praise and lives full of laughter and joy!
