Hi Guys!
This is just a quick hi to let you all know that I'm doing well. I realized yesterday that it is about a year since I first came here, and I'm doing so much better. And part of the reason is the support and love that I got from here!
Thank you, and blessings to you.
It looks like I just might make it to grad school next fall. I've jumped through numerous hoops and pushed through even more numerous times of doubt and fear (and shame, of course)... but somehow I've kept pushing and it just might happen. Hopefully, I'll get an assistantship to help me pay for it, and I've got to take a calculus (what a horrible sense of humor God has) class as soon as possible, but I'm definitely in the running.
Don is well, too... is very excited about pursuing a career in history, with an eye toward teaching Church history at a university someday. Aren't we dreamers, eh? Our kids are well, both doing good in school. Our son has suddenly come into his own, it seems, and is owning his community college classes in a whole new way. Thank God. All that worrying for nothing!!
Our daughter is moving on campus after Christmas. It's time; she needs her own space. And maybe to appreciate us a little more, you know? But I'll miss her. Who is going to clean out the catbox?????????
I'm still not going to church anywhere. Oh, well.
I miss the old forum style, still. I tried to find the place where I could scan the posts to get a sense of who's here and how folks are doing, but I just can't seem to figure it out. Maybe you just can't do that anymore.
Anyway, I don't know how often I'll be "Peking Inn" but know that you are appreciated and not forgotten.
Blessings, Hol (as in haul, not hole!! :) )
