Dear Friends,
I know I have disappeared again, but with good reason. As I told you the baby came home and is doing fine.
2 hours after coming home from the hospital with the baby my daughter spiked a 104 fever and had to be re-admitted to the hospital. After a night of intense pain (which even morphine did not touch) and pushing for hours as if back in the delivery room, she was operated on to discover that there was still some "birth remnants" inside. Needless to say, we feared the worst. I stayed with her through the night in the hospital and have rarely prayed with such fervor. Those hours of the doctors not knowing what the cause of the pain and fever was and an inability to relieve it were H_ LL!
I saw what my son and daughter and their spouses are made of and cannot begin to explain how touched and proud I am of their devotion to each other and their strong faith. They met each others needs, prayed with and for each other. Even at her worst my daughter, as she lay in pain, told the doctors that she was in God's hands. They have allowed me to do what I do best during a crisis - provide a mother's love and strength. Afterwards they have now encircled me. The men dared to pull rank last night and planned for me to rest and have sustenance, much to the delight of the girls! ;) My wings were clipped and I was put to bed! Wow, such cheek!
Today she is coming home. This family truly needs to recuperate and heal emotionally, psychologically and physically after these past 2 weeks of crisis on top of crisis.
God bless you all for your support and prayers.
