I am thinking now about the words Jesus said on the cross.
Correct me if I am wrong, it has been a long time since I have opened a Bible.
Didn't he say, "it is finished." ?
What does that mean to you?
For me, I think about everything that the church and mankind has ADDED to our salvation.
All the works, the false docterines, the contolling of our minds and actions, the list of sinful people, the division of who belongs and who doesnt, the interpreting of righteousness and church docterine....the way the churches fight against each other, the church structure and hiarchy, the church lingo .............
all the "stuff" that isn't real.
He died for our sins and sorrows.....it is finished.
That is the straight line that I am referring to.
It is simple.
We, humans, make it complex....we add to that which is not there.
just thinking outloud.
IT IS FINISHED.
so simple.
so freeing.
so peaceful.
so reassuring.
IT IS FINISHED.
IT IS COMPLETE.
think about it,
love,
jane
