THANK GOD the pain has lessened!! It is not as constant as it was and not as severe when it does flare up. I still have it several times a day though but the relief is wonderful when I get it!

Not taking as many pills (which is a plus), I just wish they would figure out where in the world it is coming from!!!!!

I would love to try to go without any meds so I can really be able to describe the pain to the doctors correctly but, being on it for as long as I have, if I go off of it cold turkey then I will go thru withdrawl for sure.

I plan to try to get in to see my family doctor this Monday becasue I am almost out of medicine. I will ask for more meds and also ask for a script to get an upper GI series to see if it's my gall bladder or gall stones. I go to get my "second opinion" on my back this Tuesday the 30th at 1:15 pm.

Have also been wondering if this can be some kind of muscle problem. I know it may sound stupid but, aside from my back both of my elbows are killing me! This started way before Oct. 16 and has continued since then. Most mornings I have to use both hands to lift up my cup of coffee because my elbows are so sore I have no strength in my arms.

I will also ask my family doc if there is such a doctor who specializes in muscle problems and, if so, what kind would he be so I can make an appointment with him also.

I am trying all options. Thanks for caring & for the prayers! Please keep them coming because I KNOW THEY ARE WORKING!

Hi Janice:

I'm glad to hear the pain has lessoned.

It's possible some of your pain is caused by muscle spasms. I have them on occasion - the situation where a muscle locks up and no position or movement seems to help it. We have a friend who suffered which these for years and I never really understood what she went through until I had one myself.
I'm not sure how they might test for this, but maybe your doctor can give you some help there.
