Admittedly I am exaggerating; however if the topic of doubt was mentioned in Tammy’s group, let alone preached, it would have been grounds for excommunication or a wrathful chewing out by the elders. It would not have been nice. At first I could not believe my ears that there was actually a sermon on a topic originally anethema. I It sounded like another instance where the pastor was trying to repent for the sins of the denomination. I was deeply moved.
From the perspective of trying to make sense of their group experiences, a former member might find the message reassuring. If anyone is interested, shoot me an a private PM. I can email an audio link with the sermon. Keep in mind for those still on dial up, it may be a slow download, but doable. Of course if anyone is not up to it, it is perfectly OK to pass on it.
