Back to square one!!

Back doctor says my pain is not coming from my back!
Went to the ER. Got cat scans, exrays, blood work, plevic exam. My pain starts in my back/side and goes around the front to my right abdomen. They called it my "right flank" area.
They thought at first it was a kidney stone but, after spending 6 hrs in the ER they released me with the paper work of the tests (which they say all came back normal), and a script for 20 vicodin (which will last me 2 days). They did give me a shot of Toridol which completey took my pain away so I am thankful for that time of relief.
But, I awake this morning with the same pain in the same place.*sigh*. I am so discourgaed and so tired of being in pain!!!!!
I swear these doctors looked at me as if I was nuts but I know my own body! This pain is real and something is not right!
I have a friend who referred me to his back doctor and says I can get an appt. with him within 48 hrs. so I guess I start with a second opinion on my back. I don't know what else to do. Why am I in pain and where is it coming from?????
Oh Lord, please help. I'm at the end.

I prayed for you this morning that God would intervene and show you where the pain is coming from. God said, in 1Cor 10:13 He will not allow you to go through things beyond what you are able to handle, but will make a way of escape.

My prayer is that He shows you the way. Amen

Oh, Janice! I am saddened that you are having to go through all of this! It makes it even harder when medical personnel act like they doubt us. As if it isn't enough to go through the physical pain with all the emotion that goes with it, then to try to explain to someone who is less than compassionate........
There are several afflictions that can cause pain to radiate to the flank area, etc.
I will be praying that God gives you the strength, courage, endurance and enough pain relief until you get the answers that you so desperately need.
Father, please bring pain relief to my dear sister, Janice. Lord, she is suffering so.......I know that you are intimately acquainted with her and you know what is wrong. Please lead her with Your wisdom to the answers that she needs. Lord, please hold onto her hand as she walks through this and assure her that you are with her and will bring her relief. Because of your tender mercies and kindness, in Jesus name................

Janice, I am so sorry for your pain. I have been praying that the source of the pain will be found quickly. If the torodol worked well for you, you might see if your doc can call in a prescription for some that can be taken orally - anything to get you through the weekend. Dear Jesus, please make your presence real to Janice and comfort her in ways that only you can. Love you Janice, Elle.

Thanks all for your responses and prayers and no, Kerrin, you are in no way our of line. Welcome to the forum.
I've read my uranalysis report and my CT report to a nurse friend of mine and to my psyc. BOTH of them agree that these are classic kidney stone signs! My nurse friend says she has seen where stones do not show up on the CT scan. No, they haven't done an IVP test.
I have an appointment with a urologist this Mon at 4:15 and one with my friend's back doctor on the 30th.
I AM TAKING CONTROL OF MY BODY AND AM GOING TO FIND OUT THE SOURSE OF MY PAIN!!!
In the meantime, I will treat this as a kidney stone....Tons and Tons of water and cranberry juice, and walking and moving around. If this IS a stone then I have been doing the wrong thing for the last month!!! I've been flat on my back resting because I thought it was my back!!!
Lots of thoughts about why I'm in the situation and I'm sure some of you can figure it out but, I won't express my feelings about all that until I'm feeling better.
Very thankful that I can sit for a short amount of time and be in contact with you all. I've missed you. Thanks for the prayers and keep em coming! Love, Janice
