Meeting W/elder & Wife

At 4:30 today, my hubby & I are meeting w/an elder & his wife of the A of G fellowship we've been attending since leaving the toxic faith group. The wife & I have been e-mailing for a couple of months. A couple of weeks ago, I e-mailed her the Ross site to better explain where my hubby & I were coming from. That opened up some dialog between us. I also e-mailed to her that I don't think that this "church thing" is working for me. She called. We set up a time for the four of us to get together. I am feeling anxious. I just wanted somebody to know. I'm getting ready to cry now. gotta go.

I hope the meeting will go ok. That they won't be at you for not going to church.

The Lord still loves me and provides for me. If He does this for me I am telling you He will do it for everyone else.

I am feeling your tears cause I have a river full that fell from me. They still flow if I allow myself to cry.

The meeting went well. They seem to have a better understanding of just how destructive cults are. We'll see if it goes anywhere. I'm going to the chiropractor today. I had myself so worked up...sigh.

Got here late...so sorry!! Glad your first impressions of the meeting is that it went well. It's awesome that you're taking care of yourself by going to the chiropractor! Absolutely take care of yourself!! These meetings and confronting abuse can be so stressful! Bravo!!
