Bugged....CAUTION.....This is trip time...

I do a lot of internet surfing and sometims people volunteer emails to me that make me want to gag and this is not new or foreign to anyone and I am bound to offend someone but I have to say it anyway because I am almost repulsed by it now that I am away from it.....

If you came from the Charasmatic background the words are flying around that are a dime a dozen that they "got from God", and this particular word someone is going to have start paying me to read the emails.....

It goes something like this. Jesus is the bridegroom who is wooing you to a more intimate relationship with Him, yes Jesus is wooing you to come into His chambers where He and you can be intimate yes intimate...."

SOMETHING IS WRONG~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jesus is wooing me to come into His chambers and be intimate with Him and the marriage has not yet taken place? Holy moses am I cracked and ticked.... Why would Jesus require that out of me and in the natural that is called ummmmm fornication?

I have been bugged by this so much lately. I am going to gag if one more person sends me the stuff....

I remember the days I used to love to hear those words. Funny how different they sound now. "Open my eyes Lord, and let me see Jesus." It is quite a different thing setting on this side of it now and wondering why I was so fascinated with it. Maybe because of the purity? Or because of the inocence? Or because I was fascinated with having Jesus? All noble desires and nothing wrong with my desires but somehow when I seen through this one that said "I will take you into my chambers" ummm then it was revelation of the crud... Thanx :rolleyes:

Boy, I guess I had a lot of religion because I was always saying weird stuff. The stuff I picked up along the way, I passed on ...Nice pat answers that were empty shallow words and flowery. So glad you don't have that demon to battle Doug.

I cringe when I hear "words" given that way...you know, "The Lord is saying, yes, the Lord is saying blah blah, yes, that you blah blah yes that is what He is saying to you." That gags me too. They give me the same sensation as someone dragging their fingernails across a chalkboard!!!!

Er uh I THINK I can hear God for myself. After many years of hearing that kind of crap and getting so confused, I finally learned that God will tell ME first what I need to know, and then MAYBE confirm it through someone else. But if someone gives me a "word" and it's the first time I've heard such a thing, and (TRIGGER WARNING) it doesn't bear witness with MY spirit, I chuck it!!!!

Melanie and Pinkie Pie, YES!!! I totally agree that first God tries to tell us, a percentage of the time we hear, ... and when needed, it will be confirmed through another witness ... not necessarily a person, but by things turning out well, us being spared something bad, etc.

But NOT by someone saying "God has told me that you are sinning!" NOPE!! NEVER!!! NO WAY!!!
