Just got a call from our daughter, who just came home from an ultra sound. The baby is a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

She said the ultra-sound showed No spina bifida, No abnormalities and Nothing between the legs! The doc said he's been doing these for 25 years and he could assure her - that this baby is not equipped...

This means the LAST grandchild is a girl- she'll have to be a toughie she'll the only girl with 4 boys coming before her. Our son has one boy and another to be born in November. This little girl is to come in Feb. She has 2 big brothers.

No one believed we could think PINK! Our son-in-laws family is only boys so he was sure after 2 boys the 3rd would be too. He is strutting like a peacock we are told.

YAY!!! Girls are SUPER FUN!!! My last child is a girl and after 2 boys, I was sure she was gonna be a boy too. I love her! She is way funner than I could have ever imagined! (Yes I know "way funner" is incorrect, it's just more fun to say!:D )

Congradulations Anna and Steiner!!! God loves surprises does He not? I was the first girl in my father's line (a Norway thing?:D ) in over 200 yrs.!!! I have 3 grandsons I adore, yet, I was just as overjoyed when Rileigh Candace Rose showed up 6 yrs ago...just one caution: watch out for all those cute, EXpensive babydoll clothes!:D

That is great news Anna Marta.

Of course, there has to be massive spoiling done with the first girl.
Our 3rd child was a girl (mother had two boys) so this one was special.
We have one more girl in grand and great-grands than boys, but in the end, they are all special.

As it happens, I too am awaiting the birth of a granddaughter---due date THIS Tuesday, Sept. 26! Please pray that all go well...as I will be praying for your family as well. Blessings to you all...

Thank you GOD that I won't get wet in that shower! Now that would be a nightmare!!! There's something to be said for the grammy role of spoil'em and spin'em back! :D

Although, have to admit I do look forward to the Viking playing diaper lottery. :rolleyes: Every play? The person holding the baby when it stinks gets the job! :p Grampy lost pretty consistantly last time. Did we set him up? No way! :D Of course - I do have this bridge for sale in NYC. ;)

Wow. My oldest will be 19 next month....not ready for grandkids yet...although the idea of giving them back with dirty diapers...:rolleyes: now there is a new thought to spend time on.
