Did I miss something. I see response, but the original post, at least on my computer seems to have slid off into cyberspace. Oh, well.

Leelees,

Here's some humor for you. The Viking wanted to know why the bucket would be sick...  I explained it was just a bucket one used if one were sick to the stomach... :( Made no sense to him.

However, with all our talk about horses and my dream, he did caution me when I rec'd a phone call from an elder's wife that I need to be careful about birthday horses...   A birthday horse? You know the one that brings gifts in its' mouth you need to watch.

OMG - have you got it? "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth."   It's right up there with being tired of playing running through the rose bushes.(ring around the rosey)

15 years later we can still confuse our languages and phrases. Life may not be simple or always happy, but it is surely brings fun when cultures merge.

It is Oktoberfest right now in Munich. Although Bavarian beer is mild, I'd need a sick bucket if I drank it for the price they are charging this year. They want 7 Euros and 50 cents for 1 Maß = 1 liter. A Euro costs about $1.25 right now, so one liter beer costs a little more than 9 American Dollars. Oopsie, how could I forget you are a Brit. LeeLees? The price translates to about 5 British Pounds for a liter. I don't know if that is good or bad. For those that are not sure what a liter is, it is about one American quart. By the end of Oktoberfest they will have served about six million liters.

I will treat you to a song to which you must sway back and forth with your Maß in hand, it is funnier if you have already had a few (and know the language):

In München steht ein Hofbräuhaus, eins, zwei, zuffa
Da läuft so manches Fest hinaus, eins, zwei, zuffa
Da zeigt so mancher braver Mann, eins, zwei, zuffa
Was er am Tag vertragen kann, und früh am Morgen fängt er an
Und spät am Abend da hört er auf, in Münchner Hofbräuhaus, da da.

Pass me da bucket...:p
