Tonight we had dinner with our good friends who just had to move back here from up north b/c our former church mispent their salary. It was good to see them and they seemed peaceful. After hearing their entire story I was so thankful that God removed us from this church the way he did! Apparently these pastors were just as abusive in some ways as the ones we left from the cult before. I am learning to listen to my instincts now rather than blowing them off by thinking I am just bitter and cynical.
God is so good to have protected us the way he did. I am definitely making a note to self so that next time it will not take me 6 months to leave a potentially abusive church situation. :p
