I found this story yesterday and now can't find the link :(

I wanted to share it however as it really lifted my spirits.

At one of the Boxing Day Tsunami sites.. I read about the elephants in Thailand.

According to the Owners/Operators of the Elephants there, when the Earthquake that caused the tsunami occured, the elphants starting crying, they were described as not calling to each other, but actually weeping. They settled them down and they were fine for about another hour when they started crying again. The ones that were free, freed the other elephants that were chained and they started rushing towards high ground.

After the waters hit, they headed back down to the disaster area where they then started pulling children out of the water with their trunks and tossing them onto their backs to keep them safe. Many people were rescued this way.

The story was just beautiful. Amazing to me that animals can be so courageous and kind.

wow that is so beautiful and to me its another one of those insights about Gods creation that should show us............He is not the destroyer! I think about the way it was in the beginning with the animals and man. I cant tell you how much my animals have meant to me over the years even before God got me hook line and sinker......He was there trying to save my life through my little dogs. Believe me Im not one of the nuts about animals well maybe in a way I am but its so sad to me that more people cannot enjoy what God has freely given to them like He gave us in the beginning.

My dogs always knew about my Mom and dad and the alzheimers. They were super protective of them always would stay right at their feet in case they ever needed anything. When my Mom died my one dog never has gotten over it, he still mourns her.
I could go on and on about this subject.
I think that God spoke to Job about the animals for a very definite reason........back then people understood more about the land and the nature of us and the animal kingdom.
What kind of God would make something that breathes and lives and dies here and then not care about them and care for them?
Im not a republican or a democrat but this stuff about loving animals as being stupid just drives me up a wall.
