It is bittersweet anniversary. Thursday November 11 will be the 20th anniversary of walking out of the shepherding discipleship movement. I am grateful for the recovery and freedom. I am grateful that I have found a healthy church which even has understanding of religious extremism and spiritual abuse.

I still after 20 years mourn the loss of a friend who, to the best of my knowledge, is still in a fundalmentalist shepherding group. I have always kept her in prayer that she would come to a knowledge of cults, mind control and spiritual abuse. The loss still hurts after 20 years. I miss her dearly. I wish I could have her back as a friend. I wish we could settle our differences.

The church is having All Saint Day Service with the Faure Requiem. I told my wife. Bring the hankies, it is going to be a rough one.

I have grappled over my affections for "Tammy". After many years of grappling with why was she alway at the top of my prayer list I quietly came to conclusion because that was the way it was meant to be.

We always had a knack of knowing when we were in trouble and to always watch out for each other in prayer. It was a bond we made just before I graduated from college in 1983. It was summed up in Sunday school, I mentioned to keep in prayer the 20th aniversary of my walking out and to remember "Tammy" that she could taste the same freedom of I have been blessed.

May Tammy truely have the chance to live her life without restraints from men.

You will have to eloborate. I was having trouble reading between the lines. It is an interesting statement

I was remembering how restrained I was when I was in the church. It feels really good to not have to answer to church authority about my personal life decisions. I was wishing the same for Tammy.

Does that make better sense?
