Update 8'25/06

went to doc yesterday.

My pain WAS comming from my bladder but, he doesn't think I hurt anything taking that cath out.

He made me go empty my bladder. I came back in and he put in a folie cath and
instantly got another 150cc's out of my bladder.

So..I now have a folie cath in. :( Evidently, I was not totally emptying my
bladder and he seems to think that because my bladder was distended, that it's
been rubbing up against my vaginal cuff and making me bleed.

I need to get an ultrasound to see if there's blood "collecting" somewhere up
there and go back and see him on Wed.

He also gave me antibiotics.

Today I have consult appointments with radiation & chemo docs to get the ball
rolling on my treatments.

Yay, you didn't hurt yourself... I didn't think you could, gosh dr's and nurses really throw us around and we're really careful with ourselves. They will figure it all out, these things can happen after that surgery with the bladder. I'm sorry you have a cath back in, but that will keep things working properly. blegh. I'm glad you got the antibiotics... that will keep you from getting infection.

That sounds plausible as an explanation for the bleeding. Did he mention your getting a urology consult at all?

I'm glad you're getting an ultrasound - that'll be a "real time" picture of exactly what's going on in there.

Prayers also going up for the radiation and chemo. appointments today... Thanks for keeping us updated - and we'll understand if sometimes, you're just too tired to give us much of an update... :o

Funny the things that cross our mind.....Janice has a dog named "Zeus",,,,I have a dog named "Otis".In conversations with Janice I have learned that our dogs are very similar in appearance and temperment .....Anyway Otis is really steaming my clams this am,he is being a total "Butt-Hole" and I wondered to myself if Zeus was in a similar mood,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and started to laugh at the mental pic that flashed through my mind,,,,,,,,,,,,, Janice holding one end of the cath.tube in her left hand.Zeus pulling on the other end and Janice Hollering ,,,,"GARY" then Smashing Zeus over the head with a magazine yelling at Zeus,,,,,"LET GO YA STUPID MUTT !!!!!!" :D :D Seriously Janice,,,,hope your having a good morning ;)

Yep..Zeus WAS a pain in the butt his morning. I awoke at 1 am. About 5:30 am I FINALLY found a comfortable position in the recliner and thought to myself, 'finally some sleep".

So..I shut off the TV and closed my eyes. Guess the turning off of the TV woke Zeus up and there he sat for almost 10 min just STARING at me with his head on the arm of the recliner so............I got up & let him out....still awake now.
