Janice Honey,
You're going through a very rough time...please don't beat yourself up on top of it all about needing some friendly support. You need some encouragement right now...that's ok! and it's ok to ask for it!!
Be gentle with yourself! ok??
((((((Janice!)))))))
I'm so sorry to read of your new problems... I'd be interested to know what your doctors say about these things.
You're not whining - if anything, I think you're being darned stoical about the whole thing! :o (During one of my many hospital stays, I was such a pain to the nurses that one of them wrote in my chart, "Patient is a b****." No kidding; I actually saw it. It's there for all the "treating world" at a major university hospital here to see. Whatever. I earned it. )
Janice, you've been through a whole heck of a lot and these new symptoms are not making it easier. I pray that the Lord will heal you, and quickly. (Is the bleeding kind of "to be expected" for awhile, depending upon how much of it there is? But the incontinence doesn't sound quite kosher to me...)
I'll just pray now:
"Heavenly Father, in Jesus's name, I reach out on Janice's behalf and touch the hem of His garment, trusting in Your merciful and loving power to heal and to care for all of her needs, even the smallest of them, as she is, after all, Your precious daughter..."
Love,

You must be kidding? Whining? I don't think so, sharing everything you are going through, yes, and what a load it is. And you are able to get on the comperter and even reach out to others, wow. I can't even imagine everything you are going through and having to deal with. Go YOU, for being such a trooper, and sharing God's love with others.
You are in my thoughts.

FYI, speaking as a health care worker, that is the utmost in unprofessional medical documentation and that person should have been disciplined.

THANKS!
You guys are great!
I need the encouragement!!
The nurse still hasn't called me back but I see the doc tomorrow anyway to set up my "treatments".
Man..I don't even feel fully recovered from the surgery yet and now I have to do this???!!!
My God IS a miracle working God! He gives me strength when I am weak, and gives me wonderful friends like you guys to help pick me back up.
God Bless you all,
Love,
Janice

Janice,
Have you read the 2 books "Love, Medicine and Miracles" and "Peace, Love and Healing?" I thought they were great and they gave me some iron in my back and clarified much. A friend gave me the books. I bought an extra set and gave them to my former doctor. Who has gone on to reccomend them to her patients.
The author is a cancer surgeon and he set out to discover why some people not only do better or but even beat over whelming odds and fully recover. He asked the question - "what is different about the 5 or 10% who lived?" While most doctors only pay attention to the 90% that die.
The premise for his 2 books is that those who are assertive on their own behalf and take charge of their circumstances have improved immune systems. They seem to be better able to fight off whatever enemy is attacking their body. He then shares the similarities he has seen in those who do well.
His research proves that you are exactly the kind of patient that does well!:D :D :D
Here are only some examples of what he calls "exceptional patients" Those people who:
speak up and refuse to shut up and accept what they perceive is not okay. :D
complain when they are not treated well in the hospital.
take responsibility for doing all they can to help themselves. :)
LIVE and stop trying not to die.
He says he loves when the nurses complain about one of his patients being uncooperative. He sees this as a good sign. He does not like to hear that his patients are complacent when a mistake is made by a nurse or doc or technician. As a matter of a fact, his patients have a very bad reputation at the hopsital for NOT being easy to take care of. They speak up, they question everything someone gives them or wants to do to them. :p They refuse to be treated as nameless sheep who have to go along with the system. :p
I wrote to him years ago after reading his books. He wrote back to me and sent a personal hand written note. Told me my disease was a typical one for people-pleasers and he encouraged me to learn to say no without a bad conscience. He also put me in contact with a clergyman in the midwest area who had the same diagnosis.
I can bet Bernie, the doctor/author, would last about 1 hour in an abusive church, huh?
