Amazing that something so horrible can teach me so much.

- DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF!

Life is just soo short and I cannot and will not take advantage of that fact anymore. What used to matter and upset me... it doesn't anymore. ;)

I am reminded of a song our choir used to sing. It's a song about why I praise God. One of the lines says..

"For waking me up this morning
For sending me on my way
For letting me see the sunshine
of a brand new day

I thank You for the blessings
You give to me each day

That's whyI praise You......

Ah, Janice, if you think you've been blessed now, just wait for a year or even more to pass! :D :D :D

This might sound nuts, and in a way, I do understand how some might take this. My apologies in advance... I lost a dear, dear uncle to prostate cancer when he was just 61. That hurt - and I still miss him. The grandson of a precious friend of mine is now dying of medulloblastoma (he's only 5; please pray for the family, if you think of it) and my heart breaks for her and for the rest of the family. I pray that the Lord brings salvation, healing, comfort and His presence to all of the family - and in this situation, I'm also praying hard for a miracle.

However, Janice, for those of us that the Lord allows to go through this experience and see it for what it really is, He can take it and turn it into one of the most profound opportunities to receive His grace, mercy and love - and to see it in action - that you will ever have. I know - and my cancer surgery was mutilating... I mean, I had a nice reconstruction done by one of the best plastic surgeons in the world, but hey, it's a reconstruction. :( :o

Whenever you need encouragement - and days will come before this is over that you will definitely need it - please write, okay? Send me a PM if you want... I'm lifting you up in prayer right now. You're just beginning to see the wonders that God is going to do for you and for your family through this!

Love,

mary

Amen.

Now only if I can take that to heart so that I don't need a huge trial to learn it....
