One of my biker friends and his wife came over to eat with me last night. It's hard to really talk at the bar and parties with all the music blaring. Anyway... turns out they were missionaries to india and have an orphanage and several churche's over there that they birthed and support. I never knew the round british man on the motorcycle had such a heritage. His wife gave me a book she had written.
One of the cool things that Doc (the biker friend) and I agree on is that we have never ever seen such a tight-knit, loving community as is displayed by our biker group. Especially not in church! It's just one of those precious gems I've stumbled on in my life and I'm going to hang onto it tightly. You find humility and love in the oddest places. I mean... who would ever think that a biker bar with skulls and gremlins all over for decor would be the perfect setting for koinonia?

Absolutely Willow! I even think that is what Jesus said one time quoting loosely
from the Hebrew text..... :p ;) I long to find that as well, real people doing real
things that honor our Father! The most "Godly" people will be the unassuming
ones, they won't even know it themselves!
