Thank goodness for Lifton's criteria. It turned out the company is embroiled in class action law suit. It was a multi-level marketing scheme. It also was on the major cult research sites. My dad was always right when he said when it too good to be true then it is. I smelled smoke. When I got home, I found the fire. Back to old unemployment office.

Another member has expressed interest in finding out more about how to discern cult-like or abusive groups. Do you think someone should start an informative thread about cults? (not me - I'm too busy right now!)

Did do some more research on the company. Sounds like the state attorney general office is interested. A cursory glance sounds like the academic credentials of the reseachers are not worth the paper they were printed on. From a cult standpoint, pretty chilling.

Interesting you should comment about the AG's office getting involved.
Our little town council and police department are also being investigated for alleged inappropriate actions. And I've been asked by two individuals why I don't run for a coucil seat. Still pondering that one. It would depend a lot on what the AG's office does with whatever they have.
