My Prayer

I asked God for strength to avoid confusion,
I was made weak that I might learn how to grow.

I asked for health that I migt love Him more,
I was given infirmity that I need Him more.

I asked for riches that I might be happy,
I was given poverty that I might be wise.

I asked for power that I might have praise,
I was given weakness that I might serve God.

I asked for all these thinge that I might enjoy life,
I was given life that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing I asked for but got everything I hoped for.

I've been doing alot of praying last night about my attitude and believe God will help me to do better. I had'nt realized how scared I still was from religious abuse.

me too sweetie. I think it brings up all kinds of deeper inner things inside of us. You know what I think causes all of the problems in this world? We dont know we are loved.
For me anyway Im beginning to see what my son has been telling me. See he was brought up in a church atmosphere. I wasnt. What did you expect Mom he says, they are just people! Yep people hurt and abuse other people the way they were abused. Its so the devil I thinkl. You can tell because the devil has our number when we are born I think. He starts on us from the beginning. Making our lives a ruin.
I am so sensitive now that when I say one thing to my sister that I think she might possibly take wrong i start praying hard, "Lord shut that demon up that is whispering in her ear and send an angel to tell her the truth."

Anyway you are a very good hearted person, you know how I know? That prayer. The other ones always begin with something along these lines..........I am so holy and so deserving that surely God you must know how wonderful I am for You and so therefore i am so positive about all there is around me! Lalalalalala...........

That's very true about being loved, rejection is a very powerful tool for those who want to hurt us.

I also believe those who have been abused are more likely to abuse others as a way to get back.

Yes the devil sure is nasty..... his job from the begining was to seperate everyone and continues today through religious denominational disagreements to destroy us mentally.

As for my prayer ...... I wish I would of introduced myself in a more compassinate way but I guess that's why God sent me here to learn what I'm missing.
