I hereby would like to encourage everyone to boycott any antagonizing posts on the forum.
Antagonizing
To incur the dislike of; provoke hostility or enmity.
Who needs this kind of hostility? None of us do. It does not promote emotional recovery at all - it impedes it. It always takes two to tango. If we choose not to engage in conflict, it cannot happen. Just think about it... we actually do have the ability to control it. It doesn't have to happen, and we have the power as a group to disallow it. All it takes is a little control. When you feel tempted to return fire... just put your pistol away. Then the hostile threads will fall to the bottom and they will be gone. Once the perpetrator realizes he cannot get you to react and chase his dangling carrot, he will either give up and leave, or try to become a functional member of the forum.
We have the power to do this. No one has control over us anymore.

It makes you feel powerful when you respond instead of react - especially when everything around you is shouting "Let him have it!!!" We all have the ability to respond based on who we really are on the inside instead of reacting to what someone is telling us that we are. We just have to tap into that internal power. It's not beyond anyone's reach. Sometimes it takes a while to grasp it. The more you use it, the easier it becomes.

Me too Butterfly. Good timing to bring this thread back to the top. I think a few pistols are cocked and ready to fire, but they're not going to be mine. My holsters are empty.
