Anyone ready to hear about a huge answer to prayer......
You are? Well good!
I have shared about how I have just left my church and began to attend a new, larger church. Well, on Sunday I filled out a care and communication card at the new church just asking for prayer about the confusion I have been in since leaving my old church.
Today in the mail, I recieved a personal note from the senior pastor of this new church. Here is what it said:
"Trish,
I prayed for you this morning (from your C&C card yesterday). I was touched by your situation. Sometimes churches and pastor's get 'possessive' and make it very difficult for people to leave, even unintentionally.
But Col. 3:15 is your verse - let peace be the 'umpire' in your heart. If God gives you a peace in your decision, follow it. If you don't have peace, don't! Ignore the pressures of people and the confusion, and listen to your heart in your times of prayer with the Lord. He'll make it clear. If we can help you sort your thoughts, call us!

This note just affirms for me that this new church is where I need to be. the pastoral staff is very kind, and caring.
