Adria,,,,,,,,,,she is without a doubt the most beautiful creation in recorded history :D ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but I have a Grandaughter before Adria.....Her name is Alexis......My sweet Alexis was not born beautiful :( ,,,,,,no ,,,,,She was born with a "Bi lateral cleft palet and lip",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,alexis was born ugly,,,,a horrable defect !!!!!!!!!,,,,she looked like some kind of deformed turtle :( I loved her but,,,,,,,just because I was supposed to :o I was so angry with God I said ,,,,"Come down here you son-of -a-***** !!!!! and I'll kick your frickin ass !!!!!!,,,,,,,,,You would think ,,,Thats it ,,,,jerry is history ......Well I'll tell ya what God did............Instead of taking vengence,,,,,,,,,,he sent inspired Doctors...You would not believe the miricle that they did....................Alexis is only 4 years old,,,,and she looks like she was born normal !!!!!!! She has a couple of sugerys to go later in her teens,,,,,but is just as beautiful as Adria :D and to top off the miricle,,,,,,she has the sweetest most loving spirit is so bubbleing over with life,that i am speechless when she is at our house......and now I am blessed with Adria :o :o

Oh, dear Jerry... Alexis was also born beautiful in the Lord's eyes. She was and is beautiful because of the character and the renewed love and faith in Him that He gave your whole family through her.

The fact that she was the beneficiary of doctors' skill and expertise in "making her beautiful" to human eyes, yes, that's a blessing. But she was always just as much of a blessing and just as beautiful as new little Adria... The Lord made her so! :)

And the Lord has given you and your wife and your whole family TWO gorgeous little blessings. I thank Him and praise Him for what He's done!

P.S. I was born with some horrible portwine stains on my face and no one took any baby pictures of me until I was about 8 months old, which was when they faded somewhat... My grandmother said, "Well, we didn't want to remember that part..." But the Lord already had me written in His Lamb's Book of Life - and I was beautiful to Him even then, too...

I gotta say... this prompted some memories for me of feeling like there was something terribly wrong with me as a child. I was different than everyone and ostracised. I'm not sure... but it was almost as if I had a cleft palatte or something like that. I wondered if I was retarded for a long time as a child. Something was wrong and different. My appearance was normal... but something was really wrong. In later years I discovered what it was. Someone had spread the rumor that I was having an affair with a 55 year old man. Sadly... this is the way my confession of involvement with a pedophile was interpreted. I was ostracized for it and truly never have recovered to what I consider a normal socialization. I think there was more to it than that. Being an only child with low self esteem had a lot to do with it too. I was very clumsy socially and the other kids were cruel about any differences. If they knew you were sensitive they would press in harder with cruel comments and jokes. I even saw graffitti about me on the walls and bus windows.

Anyway... interesting what a small story of a cleft pallatte can do, eh?
