Before my SA happened I went to see this movie...............about sixteen times altogether. lol I know Im weird.
For those of you that have seen it I think it makes a picture of codependency so real. Im the girl of course and she has her mother and her fiance to deal with and all of their snobby rich friends. She loves art and free expression so of course her fiance thinks she is off the wall. Things get so bad she toys with the idea of killing herself by hanging off the deck. Along comes Jesus who is the artist (of course) and he teaches her that she is worth while all alone, her opinions are worthy and her humor and intelligence are priceless to him. They fall in love and then the disaster..........the boat since its in icey freezing waters hits an iceberk (because of their cold cold hearts and love has grown cold). So of course Jesus and the believer struggle to save others as they always do. In the end, which defines all of our demises and fears of what happened to us all in these so called churches, the believer is heart sick and half frozen herself floating on a little piece of wood, (was it a door?)finally gets so weary and tired she lets go of her lovers hands and he dies to save her.
and Jesus said its better that I go for I will send a comforter to be with you......and He will lead you into all things........He knows the way..........
I often think of the necklace the color blue and how to me that color has always meant healing.
Anyway I saw that movie over and over again and it came true in just a few months with that church I went too. May we always remain free from now on. A little smarter and a whole lot freer than we were before it happened to us.;)

I've seen "Titanic" a few times. My daughter has watched it too often to count.

Interestingly, I didn't see the themes that you saw in it, but they DO make sense to me. I see thological or philosophical themes in most stories, and I'm actually surprised that I missed this!

I think that the wood Rose clung to was a headboard, but I'm not sure. That's just what it looked like to me.
