Hey ya'll.
Hope you are all OK.
Been off the site for a season because my hubby/church problem worked itself out and then I didn't know where I was at. . .you know the co-dependent deal. . . problem sorta solved=different role??? Really had to adjust.
As for the site, didn't have anything to say, got tried of reading my posts and just listening to me in general. I guess a "holding pattern". I was in such a "I don't know where I am" state, I needed to chill for a while. I sure didn't have anything to add to the site. . .so I figured I would do you all a favour (and me) and just shut up.
Hubby finally got back to work today. We have been up and down concerning his NOLA job. They couldn't get the contracts worked out. By the time they did he was on a plane to work in Tenn. Thank God. He has been sitting around here for two months. . . no work. Seems like it is starting to break through. He will prob have NOLA next week.
Hubby and I had some major break though concerning his church. He acknowledged "the carrots" they were dangling in front of him to keep him going (ie. big doings in Nashville, ect) Also said going and playing music there has become a job. . .no joy.
Meanwhile our local version of "The Purpose Driven Church" is changing very much for the better. My oldest daughter and her family attend there. The pastors' sermons sound like he has been studying some of Jeff Vanondern's books. Balanced sound theology. So I am going to check it out. We had been members there for several years and hubby was one of the musicans. Anway, excited!
Sound theology!!!
Will try to catch up. Thanks for the prayers and support as we weathered this season.
So bless ya'll a whole big bunch!

I'm so pleased for you to hear that one of your issues "worked itself out!" Sometimes it seems that we just do need to "weather the storm" until things settle down. But.... THIS is a really interesting insight: "problem sorta solved=different role" If you DO have this "resolved"---or at least, "resolved for now," I'd guess that's a GOOD thing. BUT, if this "resolution" has meant some compromises on your part that still leave you somewhat "up in the air" and "talking" about it would help, please don't be shy about posting! I guess what leaves me vaguely uncomfortable about the way you've phrased this is the idea that you are adjusting to a "role" rather than...perhaps???...continuing to find what it is that YOU need in YOUR "authentic self." ???? I may be WAY off-base here and I certainly don't know that much about you OR your situation, but this was just what came to mind as I read your post.
Beyond that....how wonderful that you have new possibilities for a church which might be supportive/inspirational for you!!! YEA!!!! May your expectations/hopes find joyful fulfillment.
(((((Mstar)))))--- Good to have you "home" again. Thanks for your post!
Love,
Theodora

Thanks for the welcome and kind words, Butterfly, Theo, & Jerry.
Jerry I am already crazy. . .don't think it can be improved on any. . .but you can try.:D Will try to launch messager when I can get a break here. . .you know a pass from the "nut house". The inmates are driving me . . .crazy??? Hey maybe I can be crazier. . .party:D :D :D
Theo, when I wrote the "role thingy", I was joking about some of my head trips.
I really do try to have a "life", but I have been a mother for over thirty years (they don't leave home at early ages anymore), a grandmother for 6 yrs, and a wife for, what is it . . . 33 or 34 years. Somehere along the way, I lost myself and became his wife, their mother, his grandmother, their housekeeper, window washer, laundry service, banking service, valet, counselor, cook, entertainment cordinator, travel agent, nurse. . .you know, "For a good time call 1-800-mywife", ect. ect.
Maybe that is my ministry. . .who knows. . . it is just stuff to be done.
When I was referring to my "role" here on this site, I didn't have much to complain about and not in a good place to encourage others. Needed time to rethink my situation. . . didn't get to think much. . . but hubby is working now, so I have been able to rest a bit.
Know things are not "fixed". but hey, we can pretend it is while it is quiet. :D

(((Mstar)))-- I can "relate" in many different areas! Thanks for the further explanation --- just wanted to encourage you to post if you felt like it! I wasn't questioning whether or not you "should" post!
Love the thought that we can pretend that things are "fixed" when things are "quiet." We'll take what we can get, eh???
Hang in there!
Love,

Wow! Sounds like progress! I'm happy for you that things are at least quiet for the moment, I hope they stay that way. The changes in the church your daughter goes to sound promising too. Maybe you can get a breather from all those jobs now and some needed time for yourself. Ah, the dream of getting pampered. :p

I know Theo . . .thanks for the ok even when I am not ok.
Only problem was, my posts were getting on my nerves. I think I would have started screaming if I had posted "Praying for you, bless you" one more time. Lord only knows what these lofty words of wisdom did to the poor reciptent. Needed to shut up for a while in hopes of improvement. . .maybe????:)
Carmen it is good to hear from you. Hope your project is going well as well as you and your love ones. (does this sound like a "Halmark Card Moment"?????
Do appreciate & love you all. . .really

BTW, did try to do some painting. Use to be an artist B.K. (before kids).
Made an attempt to set up the "art gear", but my back hurt too much to sit up long so I might paint.
Guess that is how it goes.:D

Glad to have you back on the board. I think you'll continue to find ways to interact, even without the "dismissive" comments.
So yes... YOU have "made my day" by continuing to respond to posts....and yes...we'll assume that your prayers ARE there and are genuine.
Blessings to you and yours this day.

Thanks for the encouragement Theo. You are a jewel.
You too Jerry. Know your words were to encourage. Sorry I get so cynical.
Do hope my prayer attempts were sincere. . .I do care and try.
Thank you both for "putting up with me". . . thanks also to the others on this site.
Sometimes I think I am dancing to the "co-dependent tango" and don't realize it. Old habits are hard to break.
