I think I posted something before on how I'm still being tracked down by the organization I served with, how they're trying to get me to write a letter of resignation, making the whole situation look like it was my choice and all my fault.

It's a nasty game they play, really. Seems they realize that the mistakes are theirs, not mine, and so they're trying every way possible to cover up their tracks. It's like playing some stupid ball game, every phonecall, every e-mail is loaded with attempts to get the ball on my side of the field.

Yesterday the director called me, sneaking up on me as usual, to discuss financial and some other 'legal' issues. Nothing serious, nothing concrete, nothing necessary, but just another way of using whatever they can find against me, to get me to take some sort of responsibility in this thing. He caught me by surprise, he was prepared, I wasn't. And so the ball is on my side of the field again ...

All I'm trying is to take my hands off this thing, walk away from it, hoping for some door to open up so I could move on and move away.

How is it that people who call themselves Christians can be this tricky, this mean? I know how naive that sounds, but it blows my mind, it really does.

Just because you find the ball in your court, doesn't mean you have to take responsibility for it. They had time to plan out their attack. You were good not to react, but use this time to repond and politely hand them back their ball.

What sport it this exactly?? ;)

I can't believe this (actually I really can!). Who is this guy and organisaton accountable to? Is there any kind of district or diocese or umbrella church organisation? I would start 'asking for advice' from them, just to let them know what is going on. Don't reply at all to the guy's requests. The game's almost over, and you are far ahead in points. The God of all grace is on your side.

When Christians get tricky its because they are no longer playing on the field that they are supposed to be on. Yeah, somehow things looked better on that fleshy side...........the one thats got that coach we never talk about. You know the one I mean dont ya?:(
I dont mean that Ive never been there, but...................usually I try to recognize it as quick as possible. At least I hope I do. Its the one I was on before I met the Man. Yeah that Man of mine, He doesnt mess around. He says what He means and gets His point across with one smack of the ball.
I think you have the right idea about the scheme of this game...........dont play around!

You might want to find an attorney who specializes in employment issues. It is $250 for an hour consultation and a possible demand letter, but it may be money well spent. This would be especially true if you are trying to find new employment.

Threatening legal action stopped the witchy poo, her supervisor, and management cold in their tracks. A demand letter may get the church off your back.

Was given the advice on threatening with lawyers etc, by a few people (professionals) recently. The guy really is 'stalking' me. Two weeks ago he even managed to phone my parents, without any warning, to find out what's going on in my life. Why would anyone want to deliberately disturb the well deserved peace and quiet of elderly people, as if my parents haven't suffered enough having to watch me go through all this ... they're my heroes!

I guess I could write letters, have professionals write a bunch of shocking reports, inform the head office, etc etc, but I guess I consider all that as part of the game and the point is (having given all this some thought): I ain't playing!!! I'm leaving the field, don't like the game and definitely don't agree with the rules!!!

As a European I grew up watching soccer games ... during Bibleschool in the US I fell in love with basketball. I love ball games! Just not this one ...

Does it make sense to anyone that I think or feel that playing along would only be giving a voice to revenge and bitterness?

Traveller,

It's strictly up to you what action you take or don't take. However, It's not you who is the stalker... it's him. It seems you are the object of some kind of obsession with him. Maybe he'll eventually move onto someone else... who knows? But at what cost to you in the meantime? Why is he fishing for information about you? Is he bent on destroying your credibility? In others words...if you ignore him and he doesn't go away and wins whatever he is trying to win... what will you lose? Is it worth fighting for?

I hope this makes sense. I think I rambled a little.

I have only been stalked virtually, can't prove it was in real life (though I suspect that pasturd called a pastor at another church I'd potentially attend), though the possibility of stalking still exists.

I think that ex-shep has some good points and Willow too. I wouldn't give them any written or recorded evidence of anything. If that guy is sweating, let him sweat. I'd just make sure all my friends know not to squeal.

Dear Traveller,,,
I don't know what to say,,,,but others have posted about this problem before. It seems the more "Annointed" they are the more affected their hearing becomes.........I have found that the only effective deterrant of their calls is to "cut loose" on them like "Mussolini From The Balcony" using launguage that would make a "Steveador" blush :D ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,:D That is usually quite effective in stopping the calls.....You can stop their "e-mails" By taking their e-mail addy and signing them up to recieve the newsletter from the "Act Up" Homosexual Web Site  :D :D :D

Tempting, Jerry, very tempting ...

I just watched 'The Breakfast Club', anyone seen that movie from the 80's? A group of teenagers grounded at school on a saturday?

Somewhere half way the movie the teacher locks one of the kids alone in a room. The teacher preaches on and on to this boy how good he himself is and how well everyone respects him blabla, and then tries to provoke the boy to hit him in the face just to prove what a criminal the boy is. The boy just stares at him and does absolutely nothing ...

To me there's such 'power' in that, it makes the other person self-concious and just so not the one in control, get what I mean? Passive, yes! But I think very effective too!
