Haven't followed your Genesis joke thread...but I've enjoyed seeing Jerry's bantering/wit in the past, so glad you've had a good taste of this too. (And thanks, Jerry---you're a dear!---or was that "deer?" Not always sure how I "see" him! ;) :p :D )

According to legond,"Oscar" did make the Earth to stand still .According to legond they did call him "Gort".The disreputable woman of the legond issued a powerful incantation bringing the unclean image to life,,,,,,,,,,,,"GORT !!!,,,,Klatoo,Barada,Nicktoe !!!!" and he became alive to do the bidding of evil.................

The line is lagit,,,,,,,,,,,from the cult classic "The Day The Earth Stood Still",,,,Gort was the name of the "Robot" in the movie......Gorts appearance was very similar to an Oscar Statue.... :D

And the goddess Emmy did have a rival, the goddess Grammy, whose followers worshiped her as Mother Goddess. And lo and behold, many of the worshipers of Grammy did also prostitute themselves to the temple of the god Oscar, that their revenues might increase greatly. Then did the media moguls who did control the airwaves by virtue of television and radio profit much from the telling of the stories of those who did prostitute themselves to Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy... for they appealed to the basest instincts of the people.
