I got the monthly prayer letter of the denomination.
I am honored to pray for the local church and national association. There are churches and ministries, inside of Tammy's church which I would be delighted to bring before the Lord.
Asking that we can have 2 billion members is crossing the line. Sorry, elders, I like to have room for Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, Quakers, and I will even allow for even handed pentecostals. Christianity is not a numbers game. It is quality not quantity and Lord will have the final say on our membership stats, thank you very much. Deliver unto me a pause of chronoligical refreshment.

Holy Moly and Heil Hitler!
2 billion members?
whatever for?
how could anyone feed that many sheep?????????
now asking for 2 billion to be saved, to belong to Jesus, that I can go for....but to be in one church?
sounds to me like a tower of babel.....

I wonder sometimes if we (the church at large) really know what it means to be saved. If so many people are truly SERVING God, why on earth is there SO much pain ALL THE TIME?? I have a theory that when we get to those gates, we will be real surprised about who makes it in and who doesn't.
2 billion? From an outsiders perspective that would be reason enough NOT to be Christian. 1/3 of the population is a servant of this God...and the world is the way it is? Sounds like a cruel God. I of course don't see it that way, but it makes sense when you hear Ghandi say he read the Bible and was going to convert, then he met Christians and changed his mind. The number one cause of atheism is Christianity?

I have asked this question myself many, many times!

I dunno... I don't think it's THAT difficult. After all... isn't this about grace? Why does it have to be so difficult? I wish I knew the answer. I used to be the narrow and steep mentality. I'm more of the wide and gracious type now... although, I still don't believe it's about numbers.

Don't you get it? It's all about the money. With 2 billion members, think of all that money. They say if you aim for the moon and only make it halfway, that is still better than if you never tried. So I say----go for it!!!!!!!!!!

Deliver unto me a pause of chronological refreshment = Gimme a break. It was a segment in the last 5 five minutes of 20/20. It described my sentiment that we have 2 billion members. I prefer to see us as one little corner of the Body of Christ. I have other things to see but work and the witchy poo await me.
