....You know how I've felt about prayer lately but, could you all please say a quick prayer for me today??
I know I have no right to ask and part of me feels like I'm "using" God just for my convience right nw but I am exhausted and in pain, and on the verge of tears with the thoughts of the day ahead.
My friend who I work with at this BBQ business, is doing a "Harvest Festival" this weekend.
Thousands, and thousands of people! Extremely long hours and TWICE as much work. They open at noon but we need to get there early because our food is slow cooked on a smoker and takes time. We ran out of food yesterday and had to close for a half hour so we could catch up. It's only him & I, and another girl.
Once the place opens we are NON-STOP waiting on people till it's over at 10:00 pm. CONSTANTLY on our feet without any breaks.
I got home at 11:30 pm last night and have to be back there by 6:30 this morning to start cooking.
I am asking you to pray for strength for all of us. We all 3 have bad backs and are no "spring chickens". I got up at 5 this morning and I am sitting here feeling like I have been run over by a truck!!! Very, very sore, and tired and today is the last day (thank god) but, I know it will also be the busiest day because they have fireworks tonight and there will be even MORE people than last night.
I know I like to be busy because then I don't have time to think about things but, I am really in physical pain and my pain medicine doesn't give me much relief at all. I'm taking it as prescribed and I so badly want to take more than I'm supposed to, but I've "Been there, done that" and DON"T WANT TO GO BACK!
